Making invisible illness understandable

For ME/CFS, Long Covid and fibromyalgia there is still no test that proves them — and no therapy that cures them.

Living with that means relying on how you feel. And how you feel usually reports in only after the damage is done.

That is what we are working on.

Visibility changes things

Wearables already measure heart rate, sleep and exertion. But they are built for sport, not for illness — they reward doing more, where what counts is doing less.

We build the tools for these conditions. For the people who have them, for their doctors, and for research.

A feeling becomes a record you can show.

Frederik Marquart

Founder and Managing Director

Frederik Marquart founded Elara Health to give people with complex chronic conditions a clearer way to understand their own patterns — and to make pacing and symptom tracking genuinely usable in everyday life.

He is responsible for product and methodology. Research and background articles under his name cover topics including Energy Envelope Theory and what HRV and wearable data can — and cannot — show about PEM.

What we build gets tested

At University Hospital Regensburg, Elara supports the ME/CFS TRACK study: participants use it to record, in everyday life, how their condition develops over time.

We think that is the right benchmark. Anything meant to help patients has to hold up in research.

Editorial responsibility

Who is accountable for our health information?

Elara Health is operated by MS Nucleus GmbH. Health information is published under Elara Health's editorial responsibility and is separated from product claims and research results.

Authorship & updates

Depending on the content type, we show authorship or editorial responsibility, the latest update and the sources used. A medical review is only stated when one is actually documented.

Evidence before certainty

We prefer guidelines, public health institutions and primary scientific literature. Observational patterns are not presented as proof of diagnosis, treatment effect or prediction.

Clear limits

Elara is designed for self-documentation and pacing support. Website content and app views do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, and wearable signals are not treated as a reliable PEM prediction.
